The Kurtzer focuses on controlled precise, head positioning with less neck strain, and no rapid movements. It’s a great alternative when other maneuvers haven’t fully resolved symptoms.

Dizziness is not one size fits all. Treatment depends on accurate assessment and canal identification.

For certain cases of posterior canal BPPV, we may prescribe the half somersault maneuver, a gravity assisted repositioning technique that can be performed at home AFTER proper diagnosis and instruction.

If your symptoms are triggered by position, changes of a stim evaluation, can determine whether this approach is appropriate for you.

Part 2: The Semont Maneuver

Another effective treatment for posterior canal BPPV is the Semont maneuver.

This technique uses rapid side-lying movements to reposition crystals and can be especially helpful in certain cases where symptoms persist.

Different presentation = different approach.

More coming in Part 3.

This MLK Day, we reflect on the power of movement - not just for physical health, but for independence, dignity, and equality.
