Ever wonder what the “pop” or “crack” is during a chiropractic adjustment?
That sound is simply gas releasing from the joint — similar to cracking your knuckles.
Here’s what’s happening:
• Joints contain fluid and dissolved gases
• When the joint moves quickly, pressure changes
• Gas bubbles release, creating that popping sound
The sound itself isn’t the goal of the adjustment.
The real goal is to help restore normal joint movement and function.
Sometimes you’ll hear a pop… sometimes you won’t.
Either way, the focus is always improving how your body moves and feels.
