🍏 While 100% fruit juice contains some nutrients, such as Vitamin C and potassium, it offers little nutritional benefit over whole fruit for young children and lacks fiber.
🦷 Additionally, the added sugar contains no benefits, and YES! It really does cause tooth decay (cavities).

🍼 Dr. Luu, along with the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), advises against fruit juice for infants under 12 months, as it provides no nutritional benefits and can displace essential milk or formula for babies under 6 months.

🦷 While rare, some children have baby teeth that fail to emerge. This issue can cause spacing problems when permanent teeth arrive and do not have enough room to fit, because baby teeth have been in place for a long time. Missing teeth can also cause speech issues and make chewing difficult.
