Employment: Highly individualized and customized job placement, coaching, and supported employment services provided to members and outside referrals. Volunteerism: Assisting members to give back to the community while exploring their career interests and learning valuable work skills. Community Engagement: Our community is stronger when everyone participates, and we support members to develop socially valued roles and engage in their communities. Family Support: Being a resource and support to families as we truly partner to implement each member’s PATH and ILP.

This growing partnership opens the door to more meaningful, community-centered employment opportunities for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We’re incredibly grateful for the trust, collaboration, and shared commitment to inclusion shown by Precinct 4.

🎄💙 Holiday Break Gratitude Post 💙🎄

As we wrap up another incredible year at Summerhouse Houston, we want to take a moment to celebrate the heart of our community — our amazing staff. 💛✨

Every single day, our DSPs, job coaches, program associates, administrative team, and support staff show up with compassion, energy, creativity, and unwavering dedication. They pour their hearts into our members, our mission, and our community — and we could not be more grateful. 🌼

Starting December 20th through January 5th, we’ll be closed for a much-deserved holiday break. We hope our staff enjoys every moment of rest, connection, celebration, and relaxation. You’ve earned it — and then some!

To our team: thank you for the joy you spread, the lives you change, and the love you bring into Summerhouse each day. We appreciate you more than words can say. 💙🌟
