What to Expect During Your Home Infusion Treatment

Starting home infusion therapy? Here’s what you can expect so you feel comfortable and confident every step of the way:

1. Nurse Arrival & Setup:
A licensed infusion nurse will arrive at your home at your scheduled time, set up a clean and safe area, and review your treatment plan with you.

2. Safety Checks:
We’ll verify patient information, your physician’s orders, and check vital signs before, during and after the infusion. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities.

3. Infusion Begins:
The medication is administered via IV, port, or catheter — depending on your therapy type. While you are receiving your infusion, you can relax, read, or watch TV.

4. Monitoring & Support:
Your nurse will stay with you during the infusion and for a short period after to monitor for any side effects or reactions. You’re never alone in this process.

5. Post-Treatment Wrap-Up:
Once the infusion is complete, your nurse will clean up the area, provide aftercare instructions, and confirm your next scheduled visit (if applicable).
