Today was such a meaningful day.
Our executive team wrapped up our annual end-of-year leadership retreat—a dedicated space to reflect, reset, and map out what’s ahead for GHCS in the coming year. We closed the day with a smash room, which turned out to be the perfect mix of release and laughter.

I’m truly grateful for this group of women who lead with heart, keep me grounded, and show up with so much commitment to the work we do. Their leadership is a big part of why our impact continues to grow.

If your organization is looking for a rest-and-recharge experience or leadership development retreat, feel free to reach out. I’d love to support your team.

This chapter really grounded me today and eased some of the year-end chaos. I’m sharing it here in case it offers you a moment of calm too.

Another “Boldly Both” order came through today. 📚

Signing copies this afternoon and reflecting on the conversations that led to this book. There was a time when I believed I had to compartmentalize different aspects of myself—professional me, personal me, creative me—all living in separate boxes.

The research and writing process taught me that integration, not separation, creates authentic leadership. When we embrace our full selves, we show up more powerfully in every area of life.

“Boldly Both” represents the permission to be complex, multifaceted humans who don’t have to choose between ambition and authenticity.

Grateful for everyone who’s joined this conversation about living and leading with wholeness.

Still feeling so energized after being the keynote speaker at Chenal Family Therapy’s “Boldly Both – Beautifully Connected” conference this week.

Huge thanks to the CFT team for the warm welcome and for creating a space where truth, connection, and creativity can flow.

Sharing Boldly Both with a room full of passionate professionals was special, but what moved me most was witnessing people begin to shift out of code-switching and into full alignment with who they are. That moment when the buckets fall away? It’s powerful.

We’re nearing the end of the first week of summer break… and I’ve almost made it. 😅

It’s been so good to see the kids have more downtime, hang out with friends and teammates, and just be kids. But let’s be honest, the driving around, shifting schedules, and trying to balance work in between has had me on the edge a few times this week.

I had to take a moment to pause and pivot to figure out what really needed my attention, and let the rest wait. Once the dust settles and we find our summer rhythm, I’ll get back to center.

This is exactly what Boldly Both is about. Not perfect balance, but permission to shift, reset, and give yourself grace while still moving toward what matters.

Mamas—I see you out here dropping off at baseball camp in office clothes, answering emails from the car line, and trying to hold it all together. You’re doing more than enough.

You don’t have to do it all. You just have to do what matters right now.

Can women truly have it all—motherhood, a thriving career, authentic relationships, and personal fulfillment? For generations, women have been told to choose: ambition or family, success or presence, leadership or authenticity. But what if the real path to fulfillment isn’t choosing between them...

We had an incredible time at today’s Maternal Mental Health Awareness Community Event hosted by Harris County Public Health, where I had the opportunity to train fellow professionals on early detection of postpartum depression and anxiety.

It was an honor to be part of such an important conversation and to connect with others who are passionate about supporting maternal mental health.

I also had the chance to sign and share copies of Boldly Both, which continues to open doors for deeper dialogue around motherhood, identity, and mental wellness.

Grateful for every opportunity to educate, connect, and advocate. This work is personal and it’s needed.

This part of my book hit me first before it ever made it to the page:

“You don’t have to be blooming all the time.
Sometimes, you’re planting.
Sometimes, you’re pruning.
Sometimes, you’re letting the soil rest.
It’s all growth. It all counts.

The moment you stop forcing yourself to stay in a season that’s already passed, everything shifts. Less resistance. More rhythm. More trust in your own timing.”

This is from Boldly Both—a book full of real talk, reflection, and permission to live life on your terms.

It launches May 6th!
