IMHHO ||| It just wouldn't be fair to not have an opinion on Cardi, Steffon and this cast of characters. But it's probably not the one anyone wants to hear. Throughout this whole process, we've seen all of the familiar retorts.
🤮She makes enough money to have all the children she wants.(Actually no one does.)
🤮She's healed.
🤮As long as she's getting "the bag," it's okay.
As an organization that specializes in healthy relationships, and as much as we love to celebrate women who achieve, there's something about this entire situation that no one wants to accept: and that is, creating a situation where children have different fathers can be difficult FOR THE CHILDREN.
We seem to let rich people have all kinds of passes when it comes to emotional math.
Nick Cannon and Cam Newton can have all the children that they want because they're rich. But it's the children who will ultimately suffer and that was showcased in the very transparent post by his daughter with Mariah Carey.
Now some of you will say that this is not your business. Children born on this Earth are always everybody's business, because it is incumbent upon the adults to pour into them so that they become productive, prolific adults. I'm not saying that happens because people are married or even if there's two parents in the home, so to speak.
Even in the best relationships, the children can take a hit. But it's not okay to put children in to positions where they could take a hit from the outset.
Personally, I find Cardi's moves disappointing. But she's neither a friend nor a client, so that's just an opinion. Professionally, I see nowhere that healing has taken place. Does healing require you to spend some time alone? Yes it does. Does that amount of time vary from person to person? Yes it does.
But honestly, where you are in your healing journey, what ultimately be showcased by your decisions and how you move... And whom you choose to move with.
There's a lot of people claiming that they've healed or are healing, and they've just simply hid themselves away from their problems.
I could care less about what Cardi and Stefan and whomever else do. But the concern should be for the children, and there's no amount of money that makes broken homes okay.
