When I was a child, I was both endlessly fascinated and honestly terrified of butterflies.

It’s really funny because I loved playing with wasp and other bugs never bothered me.

I told my mom that I was scared I would hurt their delicate wings.

Understanding the deep symbolism of butterflies now, I see was projecting a fear that I would be vulnerable when I transform.

I believed change would make me weak in a world where my strength felt so important.

As I have healed, my deep transformations have proven to me that the world didn’t need my shows of strength.

The world needed my softness and my kindness and my gentleness. The same way I need delicate butterflies to remind me how beautiful and complex the world is.

Cacao is a sacred plant medicine close to my heart. Working with this beautiful mothering essence has helped me embrace my inner mother. She has taught me to nurture all things, and how love and care make all things easier to bear.

The beautiful Brittany Kate Hill .breath.yoga_2020 has also worked with this earth magic down in South America with her mentor. Brittany's gentle glow reminds me of the softness Mama Cacao brings out in my own energy during ceremony. Even better, Brittany is bringing all of her knowledge as a Yoga teacher and spiritual student to our ceremony. She'll be guiding us through our body movement and breathwork to help us flow into the new year.

I've been working with the angels since before I could talk. Now, I've expanded how I work them with Angelic Reiki. Through the help of the angels, I'd be doing a group healing. The angels have also asked me to bring through angelic healing energy as I play the singing bowls - sound healing with angelic intentions. I am very honored to be part of this day with the lovely energies at play.

This will all be held at Artisan Culture in The Woodlands which happens to be the hidden gem of north Houston. They are health-conscious, love-based, and embody a refreshing-everyday-spirituality. Not to mention really good coffee.

Psychicism is Part of Being Human

Lots of people are blooming into more conscious psychic awareness. Naturally, people are reluctant or zealous to use these new found gifts. In true Candace fashion, I'd like to bridge this by starting a dialogue. Here are my thoughts on psychicism:

1) We are all psychic - very psychic. We filter our physical senses and only focus on one or two images, sounds, taste, etc. We also filter our psychic senses with our subconscious basis.

2) We have not forgotten how to use our psychic ablities. In fact, we use them so seemlessly, most don't know they have them. When this process works obviously, it's actually less effectent because it's got your logical mind involved in the process instead of just informing your logical mind what it needs to know.

3) No one is infallible. Not you, not your guides, not the way you interpret your messages. Just because you are sometimes wrong, does not mean you are not psychic. If you walk up to a stranger and that stranger gives you false information, you wouldn't question your ears! Why do we then question our psychic senses when we don't get something right? We must build an inner knowing to accompany us through life. This inner knowing that will tell you if the message is true or not. Plus, this knowing will aid you in all areas of life.

4) Our messages are for us. Use that inner knowing if you are suppose to let others know or not. Sometimes, the messages are just for you, so you can process or show up a certain way, and that's it. Other times, it's really good to share. It's never mandatory to share. Never.

5) Psychic awareness doesn't make you a good person. It doesn't make you evolved, enlightened, wise, or kind. It only means, you have one more tool to navigate life with. You still have to be kind.

6) If you want to build your psychism, study your natural strengths. I promise, you are using some form of psychism to master what ever you are good at.

Super Easy One Cup Vegan Milk Tea!

You'll need:
- Your favorite kind of black or rooibos tea in loose-leaf or teabags. Bonus points for Chai!
- A mug that makes you happy.
- Tasty water. I know this sounds weird, but tea is mostly water. I'm a lucky lady because we have well water - it's a robust, well-rounded taste. Distilled water will have a more pure and clean tea taste. City water depends on your city. (Houston's tap is pool water.)
- A way to heat water. I use an electric kettle, but a stovetop or microwave works. (Microwaved water taste funny.)
- Vegan milk. I LOVE oat milk.
- Sweetener is optional, of course, but always in my tea!
- Love's not optional. It won't taste right if you don't add it. Plus, love is low calories.

How to do it:
Now that I've made a simple list of ingredients too complicated, let's go over what you do with them.
- First things first, make a tea concentrate.
- Heat your water. The hotter the water is, the quicker your concentrate makes, BUT the more bitter your tea can become. I recommend between right before boiling to small bubbles (180°F to 200°F.) (Loose-leaf needs a lower temperature.)
- Double your tea leaves. If you are using a teabag, just put two. Loose-leaf, do 1.5 to 2 times what the instructions say. If you want spice, substitute one teabag or a bit of loose-leave for your chai tea. (OR add a little bit of cinnamon powder at the end!)
- Take the tea leaves out once you can't see the bottom or sides of your cup.
- Put your love.
- This is where you add your sweetener or cinnamon. Less if more with the spices with the cinnamon.
- Now, you add your vegan milk. Add enough to get a sweet brown to cream tone. You can always add more milk if your tea is too strong.
- Add more love.
- You can enjoy it as is, chill it in the fridge, or add ice cubes.

PRO TIP: If you take a little out before you drink it, you can make it into milk tea ice cube for your next you have this drink.

Bitter Tea Trouble Shooting:
1) use less tea
2) heat your water a little less
3) steep for less time
4) switch teas
5) also, try adding more love

Just to recap, make strong tea, and put milk and love in it. That's it.

The Divine Observer.

More than a Light Worker, I identify as a Divine Observer.

I am very intentional in how I observe my surroundings. I have faith that everything is beautiful. I choose to actively see the beauty in everything. When this doesn't come naturally, I seek and create beauty. When hard things happen, I find beauty in Divine Order - everything has a purpose and a reason. I take comfort that I do not have to understand the Universe for it to work well; I do not have to do or be anything specific to work correctly. Others do not have to meet my standards to be good and well-functioning people. I find beauty and comfort in my insignificance.

My observations influence my thoughts.
My thoughts influence my actions.
My actions influence my surroundings.
My surroundings influence my external feedback.
My external feedback influences my observations.

This is how I consciously create my reality.

But I am no different than you.

We are all Divine Observers.

We all tell our reality how we want to perceive it, interact with it, live in it by simply labeling what we sense around us as good or bad.

My power-observation-mode is beauty and surrender, but yours is your own. Take this as an invitation to explore your Divine Observer.

We are thrilled to launch our Etsy Shop, Keys of Light! Making products that help with people's meditative practices is something that John and I feel passionate about as it aligns with our values.

ANNOUNCEMENTS!

As many of you know, I've let my professional healing work rest on the back burner. It was a good time for me to do so. My nana needed someone to look after her, my dear friend passed away, and I got married! So much living happened.
With my nana feeling better, coming to terms with grief, and marrying the heck out of my best friend, John and I both know it's time for us to show up in a professional capacity again.

Hello Clients! I have limited space. I'm accepting one healing client per week, one astrology natal reading per week, and intuitive reading clients one per month. This is so I can show up in full force for you, my nana, my new family, my garden, and myself. It brings me so much joy to hold space for you guys to grow! DM me!

John and I are creating an Etsy Shop! We are so excited because we get to work with plants and stones! We have incense blends, malas, and some stones grids in the works. It's opening on November 12th, 1:11 pm CST.

Angelic Reiki 1 & 2 Class is on November 20th-22nd. The first two days will be on Zoom. On Sunday, we'll meet in person to practice and receive our final attunement. We've added activities to help ground the teachings.

If you want to understand the basics of astrology, I'd love to walk you through them! Astrology is our cosmic reflection, and we can use it for self-betterment. Classes are through zoom, and you get the PowerPoint afterward. Astrology 101: The Planets, Astrology 101: The Stars, and Astrology 101: The Houses.

I'm beta running the Energy Basic course. I'll need four volunteers. I'm looking for one healer, two people who sense some energy, and at least one person who does not think they sense energy. Instead of payment, I'd like thorough feedback on all parts of the course. DM me!

The Inner Marriage

No matter your gender, each of us has a masculine side and a feminine side. Both sides have a sacredness and humanness - a mature and an immature. When we honor and value one side, that one matures. It expresses from a place above triggers.

Toxic masculine that pollutes everything it touches is not about men. The wounded feminine that lashes out like a hurt animal is not about women. For instance, I naturally have a mature feminine, but a bit of an immature masculine. I can counsel, heal, and create. Things blossom under my care, but I’m aggressive. I love to compete... and win. I hate showing any kind of weakness - and I have suffered because of it. When I say no, it is final.

This is a meditation I need as well!

So what is the inner marriage meditation?

It involves healing, honoring, and anointing both sides. Allowing for both sides to express authentically and communicate harmoniously, so you, the synergistic blend of both, can function optimally.

Just like a marriage between two people, there is a wedding then there’s living life together. This is an art of becoming; this is no final destination. Consider this meditation a renewal of vows so to speak. This will be a time for you to focus on what you desire inside of yourself. A moment to love on yourself.

The live meditation is on October 30 at 5 pm CST over zoom (the night before John and I get married!) There will be an audio file you can purchase if you can’t make the life.
