It was great to spend the evening at the "Future Leaders Holiday Mixer" hosted by the Galveston Bay Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to protecting and preserving Galveston Bay through science-based research, habitat restoration, education, and advocacy.

The Foundation plays a critical role in safeguarding the environmental health of the Bay while engaging the next generation of leaders in conservation and stewardship. Thank you to Mary McElligott and the Galveston Bay Foundation team for putting together such a thoughtful and educational event!

The Better Business Bureau's "Casino & Networking Night" is set for Thursday, January 29, 2026, bringing together Houston’s business community for an evening of networking, entertainment, and purpose.

Hosted by the Better Business Bureau, the event will take place at "Signature Manor" from 6:00 - 9:00p.m. and will feature casino games, food and drinks, exciting prizes, and a silent auction. The evening will also serve as the launch party for the "2026 BBB Awards for Excellence", with the theme announced onsite.

Proceeds from the event will benefit BBB Education Foundation programs, including:

Young Consumer Advocacy Program (YCAP)
Consumer 101
Silver Sleuths

Sponsorships and tickets are available online. This is a great opportunity to support BBB’s educational initiatives while connecting with leaders across the Houston business community.

"The Texas Women’s Hall of Fame Gala", hosted by the Greater Houston Women's Chamber of Commerce, brought together leaders from across the state to honor women whose leadership and contributions have shaped industries and communities throughout Texas.

Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees, whose work continue to make a meaningful impact in our local community.

We also want to thank Kim Coomber-Hallum for her time and service as President of the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce.

Belmont Village Senior Living Hunters Creek recently hosted a holiday Tree Decorating event in partnership with the The Senior Estate Concierge community, creating a festive start to the season with a purpose.

Guests gathered to decorate a Twilight Wish Foundation themed tree in purple and gold, celebrating an organization dedicated to granting meaningful wishes for low-income seniors.

Through the end of the month, Belmont Village is hosting its annual Festival of Trees, with voting now open both in person and online. Each vote cast generates a $1 donation from Belmont Village to the Twilight Wish Foundation, supported by a corporate match of up to $2,000. Winners will be announced at the Barista Breakfast of Champions in early January.

In November, we had the opportunity to participate in the :Kendra Scott Gives Back event", where 20% of the proceeds supported the Twilight Wish Foundation. It was a wonderful afternoon surrounded by people who care deeply about uplifting seniors in our community.

For those who may not be familiar, Twilight Wish Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to honoring low-income seniors by granting wishes that bring joy, dignity, and connection into their lives. These wishes can range from improving daily quality of life to reuniting families or providing experiences that seniors never thought would be possible again. Their mission is simple but powerful: to make our oldest generations feel remembered, valued, and celebrated.

As we head into the heart of the holiday season, we want to encourage others to support organizations like Twilight Wish Foundation, along with the many local businesses and nonprofits that help strengthen our Houston community. Even small contributions of time, resources, or awareness can create an enormous ripple of kindness for those who need it most.

These two brightened the day at the Alzheimer's Association's "2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's", adding joy, color, and companionship to an event that means so much to so many.

The Alzheimer's Association continues to lead the way in care, support, and research for families facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias, offering resources, education, and guidance every step of the way.

The recent Alzheimer's Association "2025 Walk to End Alzheimer's" raised more than one million dollars and we were fortunate to participate in this year's event. The walk is held in more than 600 communities nationwide and remains the largest fundraising initiative dedicated to advancing Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.

Our involvement began when Christine Howard presented at the Senior Estate Concierge meeting and helped form our team. We also want to extend a personal thank-you to Kim Ward, Lori Farris, Ashley Arrington, Shepherd Ellis, and Angie Galatas for being part of the effort and supporting the initiative!

The Alzheimer’s Association provides essential resources for the more than 55 million people worldwide living with dementia, including nearly 7 million in the United States. Their work spans research, education, caregiver support, and 24/7 services for families facing memory-related illnesses.

Participating in this walk underscored how important this mission is and how collective action continues to push it forward.

On November 7th, the Twilight Wish Foundation and local volunteers came together to restore a grandmother’s backyard, giving her grandchildren a safe place to play again.

"A Sacred Choice" is proud that our very own Bery Crispin was involved in helping bring this wish to life. Acts of service like this show the impact compassion can have on our community.

Our team had the opportunity to attend Shuck Cancer Houston, hosted by the American Cancer Society’s Houston GenNow Network, in support of the organization's mission to end cancer as we know it, for everyone.

This year’s event raised awareness and critical funding for "Hope Lodge", a program that provides cancer patients and their caregivers with a free, supportive place to stay during treatment, eliminating the financial and emotional burden of being far from home during one of life’s most vulnerable moments.

"Shuck Cancer Houston" serves as a platform to recognize community partners and advocates, while highlighting the tangible impact of investing in hospitality, dignity, and access to care.

We are also honored to support our beautiful friend, Dorina Carrillo-Gamboa, an incredible individual who continues to make a positive impact through her hard work! We’re also grateful to Min, Ken, Ling, Newton, and Michael for their contributions toward this important cause.
