OSHA’s updated Hazard Communication Standard includes phased compliance deadlines, and it’s important for employers and workers to understand what applies, and when.
For Suppliers (Chemical Manufacturers, Importers, and Distributors) They must update their SDS and labels:
-For substances (single chemicals, like pure solvents): By January 19, 2026 (this deadline is approaching very soon. As of today, January 12, 2026, it's just days away!).
-For mixtures (blended products, like paints, adhesives, or lubricants): By July 19, 2027.
HazCom compliance isn’t just about meeting deadlines. It’s about protecting workers through clear communication, proper labeling, and informed decision-making.
