π Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
π§ Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
1/2 cup molasses
1 large egg
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp ground ginger
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg

Mix dry ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
Cream butter & sugar: In another bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add molasses and egg: Mix until smooth.
Combine: Gradually add dry ingredients until dough forms.
Chill: Wrap dough in plastic and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Roll & cut: On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/4 inch thick and cut into shapes (gingerbread men, stars, trees).
Bake: Place on parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake at 350Β°F (175Β°C) for 8β10 minutes or until edges are firm.
Cool & decorate: Let cool completely before icing.
