Audiobooks are amazing! (I’ve read 51 audiobooks this year). As an SLP the language promoted through audiobooks is amazing. I recommend giving one a try.

Since school was out this week my daughter did some fun volunteering! The animals were fun and are such a great way to work on language skills for little ones.

This picture is from one of the books I have read. People with dyslexia typically have average or higher than average IQ's and are more willing to try something new, fail, and try again (because they do this every single day at school) making them creators, inventors, and entrepreneurs. How could this be looked at as a negative?! The children I work with that have dyslexia inspire me to find a variety of ways to help them reach their speech on language goals tapping into the different ways they may learn (which is so fun!).
