What happens when we stop asking “what’s wrong?” and start asking “what happened to the brain and body?”

An-Nisa staff joined the Brain Health & Survivor Safety convening, where our Mental Health Director Dr. Ketam Hamdan spoke on how trauma shows up neurologically and why healing has to go beyond talk alone.

From neurofeedback to nervous system regulation, the conversation centered on helping survivors reconnect with safety, choice, and their own internal guidance.
