All the things you never knew about your blood pressure medications.

Oh and hydralazine can cause lupus!! A medication induced lupus auto-immune reaction, so if you are having lupus-like symptoms on this medication. Make sure they rule this out!

Pills have benefits and pills may have problems, but we may not be talkng about the problems enough because everyone doesn’t know what to expect. My goal is to educate you… with a few laughs along the way.

We are getting through these, for everyone saying I skipped your medication, stay tuned.

Let’s talk about FASTS baby!

People have a lot of negative things to say about fasting, probably because they are doing it all wrong.

You were not meant to be eating all the time. Seriously, your gut does just well at absorbing nutrients you don’t need constant exposure, constant mastication, constant grazing. Here are a few tips that will make WHICHEVER FAST YOU CHOOSE —> easier.

I love my patients so much.

THEY KEEP ME GOING.

I promise, this is why I went into Internal Medicine. I crack up with my patients. Let me tell you the three funniest things my patients said today!

My grumpy patient was complaining about the nurse not treating him right and cussing at them.
Me: “well Sir, you know you get more bees with honey than vinegar..”
Patient: “I AINT GOT NOT MORE HONEY LEFT IN ME FOR THESE NURSE!”

Yall I almost lost it 🤣

Next patient.
Me: Do you want an Out Of Hospital DNR? So they don’t do CPR on you when you leave here?
Patient: Doc, they don’t know how to do CPR at that group home that’s the least of my worries. They can barely pour my nebulizer in.

🤣🤣🤣

Last patient yall I was crying, today was something special.
Patient: “ok baby, go on head and open that drawer up and give my purse so I can kill the fish in there!”

Who needs a Super Bowl when you got patients like this keeping you entertained at work! 🤣 I truly love these folks, I may be weird but elderly patient are way cuter than babies 🤩

When people say, “moderation” what does that really mean, how much? How many? How often? Well, I am about to break it down for you so that you know what the limits may be.

None of this is scientific so please don’t ask me for journal articles, but it is based on anecdotal evidence.

Also, this is not permission to START consuming any of these things. Firstly, you don’t need my permission to do anything - you’re grown - but this is an educational guide - if you abstain from any of these food items completely then KEEP IT UP!
