Joseph Enouy’s 8-cylinder, 48-shot percussion revolver. The revolver had a compound magazine wheel with eight different cylinders spun on a rod attached to the butt and a bracket from the underside of the revolver barrel. Each cylinder held six shots. It was heavy and unbalanced and did not fit into a holster. He patented the revolver in 1855 but there are no records of it ever being manufactured or sold commercially.
