On Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Legacy stands with the immortal words of Reverend Dr. King and the ongoing work to bring health care and health equity to every person. Prior to the convention of the Medical Committee for Human Rights in 1966, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. stood before an audience in Chicago and decried inequity in health care. Legacy believes that comprehensive health care is a human right: Our services and programs are open to all who need us, regardless of the ability to pay, without judgment or exception.
