The HPS Outreach Team from El Centro de Corazón was at the Free Health Fiesta!
We’re proud to partner with Día de la Mujer Latina and the Intercultural Center for Health, Research & Wellness to support our community with essential health resources.
Our team was onsite providing free HIV and STI testing, education, and sharing information about all the services offered at El Centro de Corazón, including medical care, dental services, and behavioral health.

We’re expanding access to care through the Houston Methodist Health Care Access and Mental Health Care Access grant supporting our Primary Healthcare and Behavioral Health Programs. This funding will allow us to increase patient capacity and expand counseling services, strengthening access to care for those in our community. This investment supports our ongoing efforts to improve health outcomes and reduce barriers to care, in collaboration with generous partners like Houston Methodist. Serving Houston’s East End community since 1994, El Centro de Corazón (El Centro) is an accomplished Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with four health center locations and offers a comprehensive range of pediatric and adult health care services for the medically underserved and uninsured, which includes primary care, women’s health, dental care, and behavioral health services. El Centro also provides ancillary services, such as case management and eligibility assistance, to help patients and their families overcome obstacles to accessing health care services.

Our Call Center personnel are available to you from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If you call after-hours, you will reach our call service and they will be able to assist you. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.
