Today marked the final session of the 2025–2026 ICJ (Integrated Client Journey) Advisory, and we’re proud that El Centro de Corazón was part of this incredible cohort!
It was a valuable experience connecting with so many nonprofit organizations that are making a difference in our community. Opportunities like this strengthen collaboration, improve how we serve our clients, and help build a more connected system of care.

Today, El Centro de Corazón was proud to serve as the Registration Sponsor for the 2026 Houston East End Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Luncheon hosted by the Houston East End Chamber of Commerce.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support such an inspiring event that celebrates the leadership, resilience, and achievements of women in our community.

Thank you to Houston City College for hosting such a great Spring 2026 All Majors/Business & Logistics Career Fair today at the Houston City College Southeast campus!
El Centro de Corazón had the privilege of attending and connecting with many talented students. Several students showed strong interest in the medical, behavioral health, and dental fields, and we were excited to share information about our services and career opportunities.
Thank you, HCC, for the invitation and for supporting the next generation of professionals!
Today, our HPS team had the opportunity to be at Consulado de Colombia en Houston, providing health education and free rapid testing, including HIV, STI, and syphilis testing.
We were excited to see that many community members already knew about El Centro—some were even our patients! It was wonderful to connect with patients from Colombia and share more information about our medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
A big thank you to Leidy Cárdenas for allowing us to set up an information table and engage with the Colombian community.
Together, we continue supporting our diverse communities with accessible and compassionate care.

The HPS Outreach Team from El Centro de Corazón was at the Free Health Fiesta!
We’re proud to partner with Día de la Mujer Latina and the Intercultural Center for Health, Research & Wellness to support our community with essential health resources.
Our team was onsite providing free HIV and STI testing, education, and sharing information about all the services offered at El Centro de Corazón, including medical care, dental services, and behavioral health.

Serving Houston’s East End community since 1994, El Centro de Corazón (El Centro) is an accomplished Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with four health center locations and offers a comprehensive range of pediatric and adult health care services for the medically underserved and uninsured, which includes primary care, women’s health, dental care, and behavioral health services. El Centro also provides ancillary services, such as case management and eligibility assistance, to help patients and their families overcome obstacles to accessing health care services.

Our Call Center personnel are available to you from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If you call after-hours, you will reach our call service and they will be able to assist you. If you believe you may be experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.
