Our 2026 Season Kickโ€‘Off brought **112 paddlers **to the water โ€” one of the biggest and most exciting turnouts in Houston Heat history! We welcomed 55 firstโ€‘time paddlers, 30 youth, and so many returning members and alumni who helped make the day unforgettable.

And what a way to begin our 20th Anniversary year!

Two decades of paddling, community, and shared passion โ€” and we launched this milestone season with energy, heart, and a shoreline full of smiles.

A huge thankโ€‘you to everyone who came out, supported new paddlers, helped with setup, guided youth, steered boats, and shared their love for the sport. Your enthusiasm and generosity are what make Houston Heat such a strong and welcoming community.

We had SO much fun celebrating Chinese New Year at Mandarin Immersion Magnet School (MIMS)! ๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿงง
