We’re excited to share that we now offer GLP-1 services through integrative wellness medicine — all from the comfort of your home! (Texas Residents Only)

Have you ever struggled with GLP-1 therapy — even at higher doses — and still not seen results? You’re not alone. This commonly happens when other factors are overlooked. Simply increasing the dose isn’t always the solution.

Our philosophy is to use GLP-1 therapy thoughtfully — starting with small increments and combining supportive strategies so you receive the lowest, most effective dose for your body.

Our schedule is open for initial consultations, where patients can review their options and choose a treatment plan that aligns with their goals and overall health.

Clinical Pearl: When used thoughtfully and alongside lifestyle and nutritional support, many of our patients experience fewer flares, improved recovery, and better day-to-day symptom control because we’re working with the body’s systems rather than against them.

POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) is often misunderstood and can sometimes be mistaken for other cardiac conditions such as mitral valve prolapse (MVP) or certain aortic abnormalities. I share this not only as a provider, but as someone who has personally battled POTS symptoms and recovered. Education and proper evaluation matter.

POTS is a form of autonomic dysfunction that can cause symptoms like dizziness, rapid heart rate when standing, fatigue, brain fog, and exercise intolerance. Because these symptoms can overlap with structural heart conditions, it is important to ensure a thorough cardiac evaluation is completed.

If POTS is suspected, discussing a comprehensive workup with your provider is essential. This may include autonomic testing as well as an echocardiogram to evaluate heart structure and function. Proper assessment helps ensure the correct diagnosis and treatment plan.

Awareness saves time, reduces misdiagnosis, and helps patients receive the care they truly need ♥️.

As Practice with Purpose prepares to open, we want women navigating autoimmune conditions, perimenopause, menopause, and weight changes to know you don’t have to do this alone. We work alongside your primary care provider, never replacing them, to support your health in a more personal and intentional way between visits.

While your P*P oversees long term diagnoses and medical management, we focus on the often-overlooked contributors to symptoms—chronic inflammation, hormone shifts, nutrient depletion, metabolic health, and restorative sleep—especially when traditional approaches haven’t brought relief.

This collaborative, integrative model helps many women feel more balanced, more informed, and often experience shorter, more effective medical visits because their bodies are better supported overall.

✨ Appointments will be available SOON with future webinars this year! If you’ve been feeling stuck, unheard, or ready for a more thoughtful approach to your health, we’d be honored to walk alongside you.

More details and scheduling information will be shared soon, feel free to check our website at :

Goodmorning ☀️ ,

Here are five important facts about women’s heart health:

1. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women, even more than breast cancer—yet it’s often under-recognized.

2. Women’s symptoms can look different than men’s. Shortness of breath, fatigue, nausea, jaw or back pain are common and often missed.

3. Heart disease can start earlier than you think. Risk factors can develop in the 30s and 40s, which is why early screening matters.

4. Hormonal changes affect the heart. Pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause all influence cardiovascular risk.

5. Prevention is powerful. Lifestyle choices, stress management, sleep, and early tests (like cholesterol and calcium scoring when appropriate) can significantly reduce risk.

💗 This year, ask your provider about your heart.
Because caring for your heart isn’t reactive… it’s intentional.

02/03/2026

This Heart Health Month, I want to encourage women to ask about a Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) Score test.

Heart disease is still the leading cause of death in women, yet our risk is often underestimated. A calcium score test is quick, non-invasive, and informative— just clarity to guide proactive care.

This is especially important during hormonal transitions, with autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, a family history of heart disease, or past pregnancy complications.

At Practice with Purpose, prevention is an act of self-respect.

Your heart deserves proactive care—not reactive medicine.

🖤 Ask the question. Advocate for yourself. Lead your health with purpose.

02/01/2026

♥️ This month, we’re centering cardiovascular health—for women.

Women’s health has too often been reduced to a checklist:

Mammograms , Pap smears, colonoscopies, annual lab work….

While heart disease remains the leading threat to women’s lives.

When providers lead with whole-body care, women are empowered to do the same.

Throughout this month, we’ll be focusing on heart health, prevention, education, and advocacy—because heart health is women’s health.

Prevention is power.
And our care systems must do better—because women deserve better.

Whether you choose an injectable or oral GLP-1 medication, staying well-hydrated and maintaining proper nutrition are essential for supporting your body and achieving sustainable, long-term results. This educational video helps explain how these medications work and to provide insight into who may be the most appropriate candidate based on current research and clinical considerations.

Disclaimer: This content is intended for educational and informational purposes only and is not medical advice. GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for everyone.

Always consult with a licensed healthcare provider who can review your medical history, discuss potential risks and benefits, and determine whether this treatment option is right for you.

🔥 Autoimmune flares can feel unpredictable and overwhelming, especially when your body is already under stress.

🔥 These flares aren’t just about symptoms—they’re about how the immune system, nervous system, and recovery mechanisms interact.

🔥 Having a simple framework to fall back on can make a real difference—one that helps you respond with intention instead of panic.

This is an easy acronym that PATIENTS and PROVIDERS can use:

🔥 FLARE

1. Fluids

( IV fluids with glutathione added is common) H&N Wellness has an autoimmune bag I personally use for flares.

2. Lie down / Light activity

( The body is already using a significant amount of energy to manage inflammation and immune activity.)

3. Anti-inflammatory support (meds, supplements, nutrition)

4. Rest & regulate heart rate

( History of POTS )

5. Electrolytes

This morning, we want to thank the linemen working through the Texas winter storm.

As healthcare providers, we recognize that frontline workers aren’t only in clinics and hospitals—you are the ones keeping our systems running and our homes safe and functional.

We are praying for your safety, your warmth, and your strength as you care for our communities during these challenging conditions. Thank you for everything you do.

If you’re a woman living with autoimmune disease or hormone imbalances and have already taken important steps within conventional medical care, yet still feel like pieces of your health story are missing, you’re not alone.

Many women come to us with diagnoses, lab work, and treatment plans in place, seeking a second perspective that reflects how women’s health care has evolved.

We provide integrative care that works alongside your current providers—combining updated guidelines, whole-body insight, and personalized support that accounts for hormones, stress, and daily life.

Our goal isn’t to replace your care, but to expand it, so your treatment truly reflects the complexity of women’s health today.

We’re opening our books again in late February and look forward to supporting you ♥️.

Today I want to talk about something many of us quietly fear—perimenopause. Because stepping into this phase doesn’t mean you’re losing yourself or fading into the background. In many ways, it can be the moment you finally start listening to yourself more deeply than ever before.

And don’t worry—the beauty of this stage is that you’re not walking it alone. You’ll meet women who’ve made it through to full menopause, and they become living proof, teaching us how to survive, adapt, and even thrive. This isn’t an ending; it’s an unfolding. And maybe, just maybe, it’s about finding parts of yourself you didn’t have space for before
