On December 5, Dow Chemical Company partnered with the police departments of Clute, Freeport, Sweeny, Lake Jackson, Angleton, and Alvin, along with the Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol (BACODA), to host Incineration Day.
As part of an ongoing effort to prevent the misuse of prescription medications, BACODA coordinates the collection and safe disposal of unused medications throughout Brazoria County. Each of the six participating police departments maintains a secure drop box for residents to deposit unused prescriptions, while Dow Chemical provides the resources necessary for proper incineration.
BACODA is deeply grateful for the strong partnerships with Dow Chemical Company and the Clute Police Dept , Freeport Police Department, Sweeny Police Department, Texas , Lake Jackson Police Department , .
Together, these collaborations help protect the health and safety of Brazoria County.

A candidate taking this position is responsible for Brazoria County Coalition management and development of county specific needs assessment, strategic planning, logic models and coordination of members and activities. The Coalition Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the community coalitions’ work plan.
