is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation established in 1997 by the Healing Touch Program founder, Janet L. Mentgen, RN, BSN, HNC, HTCP/I. Healing Touch has been effective in demonstrating a positive impact in the health care of the global community. Healing Touch is widely respected and increasingly accepted, not only in the United States, but in many countries across the world. We are committed to spreading healing light worldwide. Our Mission:

To receive and distribute funds to assist, encourage and advance the philosophy, objectives and techniques of Healing Touch. Our Vision:

HTWF is the benchmark for excellence in funding Healing Touch research and service programs, spreading Healing Touch to communities throughout the world. Grants are given specifically for the purposes of research into the effects of Healing Touch and to service outreach programs which provide Healing Touch across the globe.

Meet Our Secretary: Deborah Poelker, HTCP, BS, MA, Retired Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
Joined the Board: September 2021

✏ A message from Deborah:

I began my HTP journey in February 2020, as a Level 1 Student and achieved Certification in June 2023. I have served as Secretary for the HTWF Board and on the Boards Grant Committee for nearly four years.

I am inspired by the HTWF mission of advancing HT worldwide and have particular enthusiasm for the foundations vision to fund grants for quality scientific research, regarding the benefits of HT.

Having retired from a 20-year career in the mental health field in 2019, and having worked in the environmental sciences for over a decade prior to that, I consider energy healing as a natural progression in my life’s path.

As a mostly retired person, I enjoy volunteer work, be it at a local hospice or an animal sanctuary, as well as fostering dogs and cats from the city animal shelter. In fact, I live with my husband and two “foster fails”, Smokey and Sundae.
