An Interdisciplinary Geriatrics Clinical Experience (IGCE) was held on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. at Texas Woman's University in Houston. Dr. Carolyn Moore gave an informative presentation on "Vitamin D and Aging." The presentation has been posted on the TCGEC website. The Interdisciplinary Geriatrics Clinical Experience (IGCE) is the centerpiece for the TCGEC professional Development programs. Please visit our blog and review cases presented at each IGCE session. We invite all session participants as well as those who were not there to spend one hour blogging. Those who do will receive one clock hour of continuing professional development credit toward their 50 hours to be completed in two years.

As one of 48 GECs in the country, the Texas Consortium Geriatric Education Center (TCGEC) was established in October 1985. The federal Health Resources and Services Administration has approved funding for the TCGEC from 2007-2010. ...
