Every year I help my cousin Alicia Bozzi raise money to make less fortunate children happy with toys for Christmas. They live in vulnerable communities in Cartagena Colombia called Olaya Herrera and Pozón. Last year, thanks to your generosity we were able to give toys for more than 240 kids!

ROSACEA AFTER 3 IPL SESSIONS 😍🥹 //

Here are some basics you need to know about
_
Rosacea is a very common chronic condition involving most common leave a face, characterized by redness, possible papules, telangiectasias and skin sensitivity, that may be triggered by different things like alcohol, spice and heat. It can range from mild to very severe form (rhinophyma) compromising facial anatomy.
_
A recent publication by Hzang et al gives an amazing update on all the novel treatment options for rosacea like
Topical:
✅ Topical brimonidine,
✅ Oxymetqzoline
✅ Azelaic acid
✅ ivermectin 😱
✅ metronidazole
✅ minocycline
✅ Tranexamic acid

Oral therapies like:
👉🏼 Doxycycline
👉🏼 Isotretinoin
👉🏼 Minocycline
(for paulopustular rosácea)
👉🏼 Betablockers for erythematictelangiectatic rosacea
👉🏼 Hydroxychloroquine

⭐️Laser and IPL
⭐️ BOTOX 😱 (I know, what?) and IL-17 inhibitors for treatment resistant papulopustular rosacea. (This last was associated with at least 1 infection in 39% of patients in the trial)

😃As you can see there are a lot of ongoing studies about rosacea treatment most of them are still not approved, and larger studies need to be performed in order to be proven safe and effective for patients. But this is what medicine is about, constant reading and learning.
