We are seeing a trend with social media placing a heavy emphasis on increasing protein intake, but feel it often overlooks the other macronutrients that come with different protein sources. The images shown here each contain roughly 30g of protein, yet their overall macronutrient profiles vary greatly. For example, chia seeds are primarily a fat source, followed by carbohydrates, and only then protein, despite marketing that may suggest otherwise. It’s important to factor in the entire nutrition label when trying to make changes to your composition and performance!
