Good morning & happy Friday 🎉I hope everyone is doing well. I know it's been a while since I've posted. I was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago for a blood infection but all is well now. Thankfully, BEAN stood strong the entire time. Hope everyone has an amazing day/weekend💚💚

One year follow appointment went very good. BEAN is doing absolutely amazing, all my bloodwork,besides my a1c (those skittles 😩😂) was good. Doctors were very happy.

So grateful for good health, my Earth Angel and an amazing medical team 💚💚

I'm at Walgreens checking in for my RSV & pneumonia vaccinations. The tech ask how old I was & I told her 47. I said I know I just had kidney transplant in January & they suggest I get them. With a big smile, she says congratulations & proceeds to tell me about her husband who's on the waitlist now. She says how this past year has been hard for him. So I tell her about my journey from dialysis, the page and my Earth Angel (even showing her pictures). I tell her to keep praying , trusting & his time would come. I told her I understood the uncertainty & worry but when I gave it all to God and stopped stressing, HE showed up. She smiled the entire time and thanked me for the encouragement & how I gave her hope.

I was supposed to be at another store but forgot & came to this one. I know God sent me there for a reason💚

Just had an ultrasound on BEAN & he's still rocking & rolling💚💚My original kidneys were checked as well. Overtime, there is a small chance of them developing a mass and have to be removed but they've shriveled up like raisins 😳

A couple of weeks ago, I was admitted in the hospital for 5 days for sepsis. My lab work was all over the place. I was on IV antibiotics the entire time fighting the infection & trying to protect BEAN. Even though BEAN's numbers fluctuated, he's back to normal & I'm 100% better 🙌🏾🙌🏾

Shout out to my transplant team, they are the best. I had some concerns with swelling in my leg which can be a sign of rejection. They immediately switched my appointment for labs & telehealth from next week to today. They are always quick to respond to all of my concerns.

Good news:: 289 post transplant & BEAN is doing absolutely amazing. Some medication modifications which is normal but everything else is great. She said the swelling may be due to me starting back walking after being on a knee scooter for 2.5 months, she just recommended, I keep elevated as much as possible.
