Houston Astrological Society welcomes renowned astrologer Trisha Keel to analyze the Saturn and Neptune conjunction at 0° of Aries that occurred on February 20th and the dynamic Aries stellium propelling us forward in April. This celestial come-together is one of the most significant celestial events of the decade!

The presentation is Friday, April 10th at 7pm @ Habitat House, 10037 Hazelhurst

Having spent an entire lifetime balancing between the REAlity of Saturn and the dREAms of Neptune, Trisha brings a unique perspective to this moment in the sky. This alignment represents a situation that is simultaneously impossibly difficult and surprisingly simple. During this talk, she will explore how this paradox works and how to navigate it.

And WORK will be the key word, with Mars entering the mix on April 9th! While the astrology may feel intense, it is important to remember that the outcome ultimately lies in our choices and actions, and that is all in your control.

In Memoriam - Dr. Lee Lehman:

The foundation of Kepler College began in 1994 with Maggie Nalbandian leading a group of astrologers with the audacity to create a degree granting college with Washington State approval for AA, BA and MA degrees that included history, language, literature, botany and astrology. When Kepler College opened in 2000, Lee was co-Academic Dean with Dennis Harness, both with the required PhD. Lee and Dennis had god’s gift of a great faculty with Rob Hand, Demetra George, Georgia Stathis, Mark Urban Lurain, PhD, Nick Campion, Karen Hamaker-Zondag and Bruce Scofield, but by 2003 Kepler College had 3 different Presidents. At the time, retired from teaching, I was on the Kepler College Board and our leader, Joanne Wickenburg, asked if I would serve as President of Kepler College. I accepted, and again Lee and I worked closely for several years with a focus on good education for astrologers.

As is known in our community, Kepler College could not get accredited to complete the requirements for a degree-granting college. The “scarlet letter”, astrology, was the hold back. Nonetheless, Lee Lehman came back to Kepler College as the head and creator of the Medical Astrology diploma that is doing very well with Will Morris and other good specialists teaching.

Lee’s dozen books from “Essential Dignities” in 1989, to “Classical Astrology for Modern Living from Ptolemy to Psychology & Back Again” in 2026 are foundational texts for astrologers around the world.

Lee’s legacy is built on high standards for everything she ever did from teaching, to mentoring, to writing. She is now at peace in heaven with all the love and blessings from all who knew her, and down the road, we’ll all meet again.

Please join us for this lovely, guided astrological journey w/ Melanie Harrell, tonight!, Saturday, the 21st at 6pm CDT!
In this Neptunian journey, we will commune with our planets, dissolve what no longer serves us, and surrender to the ebbing tide of unconscious remembrances. Resting here, we are dimly aware of the Aries spark that awaits us with the Spring Equinox.... But first, we weave a tapestry of where we've been on the Astrological Mandela known as the birth chart.

Melanie will facilitate this guided journey within to bring a deeper awareness of our relationship with our personal planets. This will facilitate a more conscious awareness of how we've used these energies and, through listening to their messages, we'll feel more empowered to create a new reality as Pluto leads us into the Aquarian Age.

From Kathy Biehl,
Astro-Insight, EmpowermentUnlimited.net:
2026 Aquarius New Moon Solar Eclipse
February 17, 2026
4:11 AM PT / 7:11 AM ET / 12:11 PM GMT
28 Leo 49 / 28 Aquarius 49

"The collective and future-oriented energy that has been intensifying for weeks is crystallizing into new form under the Aquarius New Moon.

What you’ve been feeling, and what you’ve been seeing, isn’t going to dissipate. It’s the way of the future.

This New Moon is one of the biggest astrological events of the month, not to mention the year.

It’s supersized for many reasons. It’s the last hurrah of a parade that has been moving in a cluster through Aquarius since mid-January. Each inner planet, the Sun and the Moon have all been refocused and transformed by the clarifying scythe of Pluto, which each of them met soon after entering Aquarius. Because of that contact, the sign’s energy is expressing itself differently – more distilled, more potent — in your life and in the world at large.

The Moon’s location also adds to the larger than life impact. Nearly at the end of its sign, it is the fifth of six 28 degree new moons, infusing seeds and new growth with enormous potency.

And this New Moon is a solar eclipse, the first on the Leo/Aquarius axis that will continue into 2028. This axis has us revisiting and resetting the challenge of shining as individuals while coexisting within a group. A defining question is: Who is your tribe? Also: Where is your stage? And what exactly of yourself are you displaying on it?

The last few weeks have heightened awareness of this challenge and these questions. The social group question got clarified and refined as the Aquarian traveling party met up with Pluto. The last two questions lit up under the Leo Full Moon that launched the month.

Watch for themes, situations and even people to come back from February 2008 to late summer 2009, the last time we underwent this eclipse cycle. Only this time, your alliances and validations are vastly, vastly different from the last go round.

This event ushers us across an unmistakable threshold, with a dramatic changing of the guard. “Who are the people in your neighborhood?” is in for a shake-up, maybe in location as well as the cast.

It’s common to associate departures and endings with a lunar eclipse, because it amplifies the culminating and releasing properties of a full moon. Yet departures and endings happen, too, with a solar eclipse.

The reason is that a solar eclipse temporarily blots out the light, then brings it back up. Symbolically it’s akin to a computer system rebooting to install updates (deliberately on your part, or without your asking for or knowing about it). Programs close, the computer shuts down and restarts, and when it comes back up, some files are gone, some programs are new, and some are in different form. As a solar eclipse resets areas of your life, priorities, situations and people depart – and new ones arrive.

And this cycle is coming in gangbusters. The inaugural event has a catalyzing assist from the sign’s ruler, Uranus, a square signaling “And we really mean it” from the cosmos. The energy coming off the square is shocking the Moon into action like a Jacob’s Ladder animating Frankenstein’s monster in the 1931 Universal film.

It may not be a particularly emotional event; Aquarius fosters a detached, intellectual observer mode, watching events play out as if at a distance. This event may, however, take your breath away. And send heads spinning.

And the surprising nature of some of the action may be that it happens at all. You may have been suspecting it; you may have been not wanting to face (or daring to believe) it. Although the impact (or its source) may be unexpected, the existence of the disruption has been rumbling for weeks. Uranus has been at its current degree, 27 Ta**us, since New Year’s Eve, sending shockwaves that began noticeably shaking situations when the great awakener stationed direct February 3.

The disruptions won’t move on quickly. He’ll continue emitting shocks from this location for another month, and won’t leave his current degree until mid-March. As a result of his seeming lack of movement, some of the eclipse’s effects may play out like blasting caps (or stronger) detonating over the ensuing weeks.

Sound scary? That’s not likely to be your reaction in the midst of the reboot. Life force and courage are rising in each and every one of us, just days of locking in as new way of being. Saturn and Neptune are within minutes of their conjunction February 20 at the first degree of Aries, and the zodiac. This is the point of raw creation, where Neptune makes anything and everything possible and Saturn manifests physical form.

You may well be roaring, “Bring. It. On.” as you face the future – or, more likely, find yourself hurtling toward it.

And you will probably have company. Lots of it. Aquarius is, after all, the friend zone of the zodiac, and this eclipse is aligning you with updated companions and community. They’re heading with you into a shared future.

And the connections aren’t just intellectual. Some embody a love and kindness that borders on sacred and fated. They’re the living vehicles of Venus at the north node in Pisces. The goddess of love and ruler of all we value is in her highest, most divinely loving mode here. She’s standing at the doorway to the future, for each individual, for us collectively, for the entire planet. Their meeting is a magnet for every idiom about the power of love. It keeps us together. It is winning. And it is the dominant force in all our interactions as this eclipse catapults us forward."
💜💫

Gird yourself. Ready or not, we’re hurtling into the new. February is when everything changes, with no going back. It has relatively few astrological aspects, but two of them are among the most impactful influences of the year. They’re hitting the rese …

Here we are, folks. Neptune at 0° Aries. Make note of what's happening in our personal lives and our world today. Notice creative, inspirational impulses, and spiritual focus. With the planet of compassion and unconditional love in the first fire sign, it's time to release the dross of our feelings of overwhelm and disillusionment and take actions, however small, towards our purpose for being here on the planet. Like the venerable monks walking for peace across the Northeast of the U.S., it is time now to put some feet on those prayers!
So, between now and mid February, when Saturn joins Neptune at 0° Aries, (the World point, the beginning of a whole new paradigm) actively let go of anything that is no longer enlivening our authentic self. We are being called to envision our soul's purpose and step into it, being directed by that innate impulse that comes from the quiet pause, the listening and feeling into the resonance of "the still, small voice within".

Happy New Moon at 29° Scorpio! With Mercury cazimi (exactly conjunct) and Uranus, the Awakener, exactly opposite at 29° Ta**us, we are diving to the depths of the soul to uncover the truth of who we are and why we are here on this evolutionary journey. Take time to meditate and listen. Divine inspiration will come, and unexpected revelations will occur. This is a magnetizing lunation, bringing opportunities to strengthen inner knowing and share insights. Trust your instincts. Since Mercury is retrograde, this is a good time to do research and investigate options. Save decisions to move forward in new directions for mid December or January.
We are collectively finishing some very deep karma between now and next Spring. Take very good care of your health and practice self compassion. As we finish this chapter with all its
intensity, envision the highest, best and most benevolent outcomes moving forward. What we think we will magnify. So imagine breaking free of the chrysalis and spreading strong and beautiful wings in 2026. Blessings All! 💜

Our beloved friend/mentor/teacher, Lilly Roddy, died on October 14th of a heart attack, after spending a quiet evening at home with her partner.
She was rushed to the ER and doctors did all they could to revive her. She never regained consciousness. It is a comfort to know that her passing was quick and she did not suffer.

Lilly was a larger than life presence in so many people's lives, so often there supporting us in difficult transitions, as well as personal triumphs. She was the hub around which we revolved on a daily basis, with her astrology column, helping us chart our course for the day.

The Houston Astrological Society will be having a donation based class on Ceres this next Sunday, as a follow up to the class we hosted with Louise Edington on October 12th. Lilly participated in this class via Zoom on that Sunday with Louise, just 2 days before she died. Lilly shared that she loved the planet Ceres and that it's influence is always present in a death chart. That she was meant to be there that day and share her insights (with oh so perfect timing) still gives me chills!
Ceres is indeed present in any significant transition from an old life to a new beginning.

Ceres, as a large dwarf planet, influences our collective understanding of nuturance, loss and renewal.

In this class next Sunday, we will look at Ceres on a personal level in individual charts and how it's presence, in the birth chart and by transit, impacts our lives.

Date: Sunday, November 9th,
3:00 - 4-30pm Central.

Cost: Donation

Register: houstonastrologicalsociety.org

Location:
A Healing Collective, 4231 Bellaire Blvd,
Houston 77025.

This class will also be via Zoom and a link will be sent out on Friday for those who have registered.
For more information, contact Gandhari @ houstonastrologysociety@gmail.com.

This class is a fundraiser for Lilly's surviving partner, Yvonne. They were together 30 years. We, at the Houston Astrological Society, offer Yvonne our deepest condolences and our full support in this difficult transition.

The Memorial service details will be forthcoming soon. Mark your calendars for the beginning of December, when the community can come together and celebrate her life. As soon as we have more details confirmed, you will be informed.
