These small, twisted veins often appear on the legs or face and may cause aching, heaviness, swelling, or itching. While many people seek treatment for cosmetic reasons, it’s important to watch for symptoms like pain, significant swelling, skin discoloration, or sores, which could indicate an underlying vein condition.

Heart disease doesn't always come with obvious warning signs, which is why awareness and prevention matter. Talk with your healthcare provider about your heart health and take proactive steps toward a stronger, healthier future.

Uterine fibroids are common, but their symptoms are often misunderstood. Pain is one of the most telling signs. Here are 5 types of pain that could be linked to fibroids:

-Pelvic Pain or Pressure – A persistent, dull ache in the lower abdomen or pelvis. Fibroids can press on surrounding organs, causing discomfort.
-Menstrual Cramps – Severe cramps that feel more intense than typical period pain, often lasting longer or occurring outside of menstruation.
-Lower Back Pain – Pain radiating to the lower back, especially if fibroids are located on the back of the uterus, pressing on spinal nerves.
-Pain During In*******se – Discomfort or pain during or after s*x, particularly if fibroids are near the cervix or within the uterine cavity.
-Abdominal Swelling or Bloating – A feeling of fullness or bloating that can be mistaken for weight gain, caused by larger fibroids pressing against the stomach area.

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms, it’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider. Early detection and minimally invasive treatments can help you avoid more serious complications.

If you're experiencing any of these symptoms or have been diagnosed with uterine fibroids, give our team a call to set up a consult: 713-913-0667

HAE works by gently blocking the arteries that feed the hemorrhoids, causing them to shrink over time. There are no incisions, no stitches, and no need for general anesthesia—just targeted treatment from the inside out.

Why patients are choosing HAE:
✅ Minimally invasive: Tiny pinhole access, not surgery
✅ Quick recovery: Most patients return to normal activities within a day or two
✅ Effective relief: Reduces bleeding, swelling, discomfort, and recurrence

If hemorrhoids are impacting your comfort or quality of life, HAE offers a proven alternative to invasive surgery.

When the veins in your legs don't circulate blood properly, pressure builds. Over time, that pressure can damage the skin and lead to venous leg ulcers—painful, slow-healing wounds that keep coming back.

Common signs it may be vein-related:
Ulcers around the ankle
Leg swelling or heaviness
Darkening or hardening of the skin
Varicose veins nearby
A wound that won't heal despite good care

If you're noticing any of these signs, call Alate Health to schedule a consult and explore your treatment options: 713-913-0667

VenaSeal is a minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins that uses a special medical adhesive to close the affected veins. Unlike traditional vein procedures, VenaSeal doesn’t require heat, stitches, or large incisions, and most patients can return to normal activities immediately.

By sealing the problem veins, blood naturally reroutes to healthier veins, improving circulation and reducing the appearance of bulging veins and discomfort. VenaSeal is an outpatient procedure performed by specialists, and it’s a safe, effective option for those looking for a quicker, less invasive way to treat varicose veins.

Yttrium-90 (Y-90) Radioembolization is a targeted treatment for liver cancer and certain liver metastases. It works by delivering radiation directly to tumors via tiny radioactive beads, sparing healthy tissue.

Clinical studies show:
✅ Median survival ranging from 12 to 28 months depending on cancer type and stage
✅ High rates of tumor control and shrinkage
✅ Potential to downstage tumors, making surgery or transplant possible
✅ Generally well-tolerated with manageable side effects

Y-90 offers hope for patients with liver tumors that aren’t candidates for surgery or chemotherapy alone, improving quality of life.

Why does the prostate enlarge with age?
It’s a natural part of getting older — but that doesn’t mean you have to live with the symptoms. Thankfully, there’s a simple, non-surgical solution: PAE. 👇
