I got to give my mom her first grandbaby, and I don’t think I realized how big that was until I saw it through her eyes.
Watching her become a grandma for the first time healed something in me I didn’t even know was hurting.
Seeing her love my baby with the same tenderness she once gave me was overwhelming in the best way.
There’s something incredibly special about knowing your child is the reason your mom stepped into a brand-new chapter of love.
A softer, sweeter kind of joy.
I’ll always be grateful that I got to give her that first grandbaby. Not just because it made her a grandma, but because it reminded me how deeply loved we both are.
