How hormone replacement therapy (HRT) can help during perimenopause 👇⁠

Despite common belief, hormonal balance is not achievable during perimenopause… Because perimenopause is a state of hormone imbalance due to the natural decline of s*x hormones.⁠

When it comes to perimenopause, I often see clients prescribed testosterone FIRST. Here is why this doesn’t work.. ⁠

With testosterone alone, you may feel better at first, but supraphysiologic doses can cause high androgen symptoms and make estrogen receptor sites weaker.⁠

Here’s the truth about HRT during perimenopause:⁠

✅ Progesterone is usually the first hormone to drop (often starting around 35)⁠
✅ I recommend starting with progesterone + supportive nutrition, exercise, and nervous system care⁠
✅ In many cases, DHEA & testosterone naturally balance afterward — no HRT needed⁠

⁠HRT can help during perimenopause, but the key lies in ⁠using it in the right order. ⁠

First of all, there is no such thing as “balancing” hormones during perimenopause. Perimenopause is a time characterized by hormone imbalance.⁠

But with that said, there are ways to support this transition and for those who are candidates for HRT, hormones can be replaced. ⁠

Many hormone-balancing habits that once worked in your 20s and 30s may no longer work once we hit perimenopause.⁠

Why?⁠

Because our hormone landscape changes dramatically during this time and those one-size-fits-all fixes stop cutting it.⁠

Perimenopause is a natural state of hormone imbalance due to the decline of estrogen, progesterone, and even testosterone. This usually starts around age 35. ⁠

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry you’ve been told that your new symptoms of anxiety, insomnia, decreased patience, unexplained weight gain and belly fat are all just part of aging and something you need to “just live with”.

I’m sorry you were told that birth control, sleeping pills, and anti-anxiety meds are your only option.

I’m sorry you’ve been told vitex, seed cycling, and wild yam cream will help “boost” your progesterone.

Meanwhile you’re over here drowning in wasted money on supplement blends and OB visits that leave you with no answers.
