Obesity Care Week was a great success this year! This was icing on the cake!

🗞️This just in during Obesity Care Week!

📢Leading medical organizations have affirmed what the science makes clear: FDA-approved obesity medications are safe, effective, and appropriate for long-term use.

In collaboration with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) and the Obesity Action Coalition (OAC), The Obesity Society (TOS) has released updated, evidence-based guidance reinforcing that:

✔️ Obesity is a chronic, progressive disease
✔️ Medications are a foundational component of comprehensive care
✔️ Long-term treatment improves health outcomes and quality of life
✔️ Patient perspectives must help shape care decisions

With more than 100 million Americans affected by obesity, this guidance marks an important step toward evidence-based, patient-centered care — and toward removing stigma and misinformation.
