Our December meeting started with a presentation from Mike Pede, the Associate VP of Alumni Relations at UH, who talked about the UH Alumni Association and plans for the Centennial. We enjoyed learning more about our local public university and looking forward to it's 100th year! Thank you Mike Pede and University of Houston Alumni for taking the time to speak with us! Go Coogs!

For this , we are recognizing Susan Foulk Reeves, an alumna of Gamma Phi Beta at UT Austin, who the HAPA GPhiB Scholarship is named after, and her sister Julia Barton Veal.

Julia had this to say about Susan: "Susan Foulk Reeves was my best friend and sorority sister in Gamma Phi Beta. She loved Gamma Phi and the idea behind Panhellenic. Before her death she had become very active in HAPA and loved it. Susan's vision was to afford the opportunity for sorority women to experience the same joyful fellowship of life changing sisterhood that she loved and cherished. The Houston Alumnae Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta is proud to sponsor a scholarship in her name. She died too young and is deeply missed by her friends and sisters."
