We have been told by some couples that attending Kingwood Memory Cafe once a month is their "Date Night" 🥰😍 But whether you are an adult child with your parent(s), grandchild & grandparent(s) or just good old dear friends, please join us! There will be plenty of food, laughter, music, SINGO BINGO (OH YES WE ARE!)😃 and prizes!

As we kick off the new year, these are just a few of the smiles we captured last night at Kingwood Memory Cafe. Husbands & wives, daughters and mothers, daughters and fathers, grandpa and grandson - YES! We are a family affair! 🥰

Kingwood Memory Cafe is a social program designed to combat isolation, loneliness and stigma for families facing early stage dementia. Our supportive gatherings with fun, activities and shared experiences help individuals with dementia and their caregivers find joy, connection and a sense of normalcy. Our monthly gatherings include plenty of hot food, music, games and laughter in a judgement free space where people can connect. We want you to feel the love!

Tuesday, November 4th - Are you ready to paint! 🎨

It's that time of year where we incorporate music and painting and welcome Jimmy back to lead our group into their own unique and creative state of mind.

Painting is therapeutic and a non verbal form of communication. It engages the senses and allows us to share our feelings & memories using colors, shapes and textures. Overall it produces a calming, rhythmic effect similar to music. Yes!

Come and experience Kingwood Memory Cafe on Tuesday, Nov. 4th @ 5:30pm. The laughter, socialization, positive energy, really bad jokes and lots of great food will have you leaving with a smile. 😄
