HIRING CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT

KEY FUNCTIONS BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Billing – Muscle Testing – Dr. Re-Evaluation, Initial Evaluation and Therapy
• Ecomp patients documents
• File Paperwork
• Schedule Therapy and Muscle Testing
• Pre-Authorization
• Get Charts ready for Doctor Day
• Follow-up Appointment Calls
• Front desk -
• Direct patient to sign in on the sign in sheet.
• Pull sticker off sign in sheet and place it on MD dictation or PT sheet depending on visit
• MD Visits –
• Pull charts
• Audit chart to see if all reports and diagnostics are updated
• Put chart on wall for MD
• Direct patient to waiting area
• Call MD to notify him/her that their patient is ready
• Physical Rehabilitation Visits –
• Provide PT note for MAs
• Direct patient to Mas for vitals
• Check out Process –
• Medical Visit –
• MA brings chart to front desk
• Front desk schedules next appointment
• Front Desk gives printed appointment card to patient
• If a prescription was written that scripted is faxed out to pharmacy
• If referral was made, the information recorded on referral sheet in loaded in inbox on the wall.
• Physical Rehabilitation –
• Check out and future appointments made
