ReelAbilities: Houston Film & Arts Festival is a FREE city-wide film and arts festival dedicated to presenting films, art exhibitions, performances, and speaker that celebrate the lives, stories, and talents of people with disabilities and enrich Houston’s culture, diversity, and inclu

sion efforts. Core Values:

- Increase awareness about people with disabilities
- Change perception and remove stigma surrounding people with disabilities
- Eliminate barriers to accessibility in all aspects of life: arts and culture, education, and employment
- Collaboration across arts disciplines, organizations, communities
- Arts and inclusion education that will inspire the next generation of artists, audiences, future leaders, and employers

The Houston Office for People with Disabilities is officially looking for dedicated, passionate advocates to serve on the Houston Commission on Disabilities.

About the Role:
The Commission plays a vital role in advising the Mayor and City Council on issues affecting the disability community. We are looking for active advocates who are committed to improving the quality of life, rights, and accessibility for people with disabilities across the Greater Houston area.

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applicants who live within or outside the City of Houston limits, provided you reside within the Greater Houston area.

We are seeking individuals with a strong track record of advocacy and a desire to make a lasting impact on our city’s inclusivity.

How to Apply:
