Doctors Inn, parent company of Fernbrooke, was proud to sponsor illuminations center for dyslexia. Our president, who grew up with dyslexia, was able to speak. Dyslexia and other learning conditions are present for life and can be further compounded by things that occurred naturally with aging such as hearing loss. We hope to help meet all needs we can at our facilities.

Our president was recently able to speak to a great group senior citizens, Happy Hearts, at St. James in Tupelo. We discussed a wide range of topics from aging healthy, preventing disease, Medicare, hospice, and care settings. We love being able to get out in the community and educate about these very important topics.

A comprehensive study of more than 2,200 older adults revealed that those engaged in high social engagement significantly reduced their mortality risk. The most socially active older adults showed a 42% lower chance of death over four years compared with their less engaged peers.
