Mindful Solutions Counseling and Educational Consulting

Mindful Solutions Counseling and Educational Consulting Providing individual, couples and family counseling. I also provide educational consultation to families based upon my experience in the school setting.

Every day life presents us with challenges. It is easy to look for an immediate solution or completely give in to our doubts about our ability to make positive change in our lives. Solutions without mindful thinking can at times encourage us to feel there is no hope, keeping us stuck in old behavior patterns and routines. Let me assist on the journey of exploring the possibilities in your present

situation. Using an integrative approach, my goal is to help you to discover your INNER STRENGTH, RESOURCES, and RESOURCEFULNESS that currently resides within inside of you. Every individual has value and worth. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand your assets, the larger system of which you are a part, and resources within yourself and the community. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will discover strengths that can assist you in altering current behaviors and lifestyles that no longer work for you or your family. Today you are one step closer on the journey toward solutions that are designed intentionally for you. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Please call or email me for an individual, couples, parenting, family therapy or educational consultation today. Treatment specialization includes:

Therapy for Depression and Anxiety

Calm, three minutes can restore focus and lower physiological arousal. This guided breathing-and-body-scan practice supports clearer attention and reduced stress when used before a meeting, between school pick-ups, or during a brief work break. Melissa integrates this precise blend of techniques in clinical sessions; fuller recordings and extended guidance are available via the clinic mailing list and on Insight Timer. It’s easy to drift out of connection without really realizing it.

Life changes. Work shifts. You move into a new season, and the relationships that once felt built-in start to take more effort. No big falling out, just less contact… less ease.

And over time, you adjust.

You get used to doing more on your own. Your world gets a little smaller, but it happens so gradually it’s hard to name.

Most people assume connection will come back when things slow down. But in my experience, it usually doesn’t work that way.

Staying connected as adults takes intention.

It looks like reaching out when you’ve been thinking about someone. Letting it be simple instead of overthought. Saying yes to something small, even if part of you would rather stay in.

It doesn’t have to be a big shift. Most of the time, it’s just a small move back toward people.

If this season has felt more isolating than you expected, you’re not the only one.

We wrote more about this in our latest newsletter. Link in bio.

Many people think they must be perfectly calm, perfectly still, or perfectly “Zen” to practice mindfulness. If you find yourself think...
