The Christmas Angels, with the help of HAR and Cinco Ranch High School FFA, helped make the holidays extra special for families living in our Adele and Ber Pieper Family Place apartments by hosting an Adopt-a-Family gift donation.

Through this effort, families received thoughtful items from their holiday wishlists, bringing joy and cheer to the season.

Holidays are often associated with happiness, joy, and togetherness; however, these experiences are not universal. While many people spend the season laughing, singing, and planning celebrations with loved ones, clinical experience shows that feelings of sadness and loneliness frequently intensify during this time.

In response, our counseling program developed a four-week “You Are Not Alone” group that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with art and craft activities. The group is designed to help participants redefine the concept of “Family” and strengthen, or rebuild, connections with friends and loved ones to cope with loneliness.
