Ardent Acupuncture

Ardent Acupuncture Acupuncture/Traditional Chinese Medicine is a natural and gentle form of healing that can be used to treat a number of conditions.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system developed over 3,000 years ago. This system consists of acupuncture, cupping, nutrition, moxibustion, Chinese herbal therapy, tuina (Chinese body work), Tai Chi, and Qi Gong exercise practices. This medical system is a partnership. Both patient and practitioner do their part in the healing process. While we tend to be a society that wants instant results, it's important to understand that acupuncture and its accompanying TCM modalities are natural and gentle in their healing.

Wellness Wednesday πŸŽ‰

From our practitioner:

Flattening our glucose curve is one of, if not, the most important thing to do for our health.

Health tip of the day:

Having greens coupled with a vinegar based dressing PRIOR to a meal helps minimize glucose spikes.

If you happen to love the Kale Crunch salad from Chick-fil-A like I do πŸ˜‹, this is a cost effective way of doing them at home.

Enjoy!

πŸŽ‰ From our practitioner πŸŽ‰

Hi, everyone πŸ‘‹

I just wanted to say hey & share a little reminder ❣️.

I know sometimes we get so wrapped up in taking care of everyone & everything else, we lose sight of taking care of ourselves.

I know it's annoying to hear the "you can't pour from an empty cup" phrase but honestly.....we both know there's truth to it even if we hate hearing it, lol.

And honestly....if it gets to the point of detesting that phrase, it probably means we really need the reminder πŸ’œ.

Here's where we can help.
Sometimes we just need a little Self-Care.

And I know..... I know..... you're probably thinking "I don't have time!"
And it probably does feel that way.

But just remember....if we choose to listen to our body when it whispers, we won't have to hear it scream. πŸ’œ

Whether you're starting to feel the effects of peri-menopause or pain is keeping you from enjoying time with your family, we can devise a game plan to get you feeling better as quickly as possible.

But even if you decide to go in another direction, I encourage you to find someone you truly resonate with, someone you feel can help you in the best way possible.

Because you deserve to feel your very best ❀️.

And if up to this point, you feel like you've been neglecting yourself, don't beat yourself up about it.
Give yourself some grace and know that it's never too late to take that next step πŸ₯°.

πŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”ΉπŸ”Ή

Can you do something for me?

Yes?
Cool.

Okay, IMAGINE.....

Imagine walking to your fridge and opening the door. Inside you see a large bowl of lemons.πŸ‹

Reach in and pick one out.

Go to the counter, take a knife and slice that lemon in half.

Now pick up one of the halves and squeeze it just enough so that some of the juice pools up on top.

In your MIND'S eye πŸ‘€....

Look at the lemon half in your hand and think of the intense sour flavor you'd experience if you took a taste.
THINK on that for a few moments.....

I'm going to guess that right about now your mouth has filled with saliva and you're feeling that slight tingly feeling near your jaw as you think about that juicy lemon half. πŸ‹

Your body has just experienced a physical effect caused by your thoughts.

While this one example may seem insignificant, I assure you it is not.
Your mind has significant power over the physical.

While positive thinking ALONE may not be a cure-all, it is a vital variable in combination with other health practices.

So the next time you find yourself allowing negative/stressful thoughts to take over, remember the lemons. 😊

Your thoughts are quite powerful.
They CAN affect your physical wellbeing.

So....Be kind to yourself. ❀
Forgive yourself. ❀
Love yourself. ❀

"Most people don't realize the damage they're doing to themselves.

They replay old stories and talk themselves out of the very life they want.

But here's the truth: Every word you say to yourself matters.

Every thought plants a seed.
And every time you repeat it - you're listening.

You want better results?
Start with better self-talk.

You've got more power than you think."

The ticket to a great life!

Love this!! ❀️

" This is too good not to share. I asked a friend who has crossed 70 & is heading towards 80 what sort of changes he is feeling in himself? He sent me the following:

1. After loving my parents, my siblings, my spouse, my children and my friends, I have now started loving myself.

2. I have realized that I am not β€œAtlas”. The world does not rest on my shoulders.

3. I have stopped bargaining with vegetable & fruit vendors. A few pennies more is not going to break me, but it might help the poor fellow save for his daughter’s school fees.

4. I leave my waitress a big tip. The extra money might bring a smile to her face. She is toiling much harder for a living than I am.

5. I stopped telling the elderly that they've already told that story many times. The story makes them walk down memory lane & relive their past.

6. I have learned not to correct people even when I know they are wrong. The onus of making everyone perfect is not on me. Peace is more precious than perfection.

7. I give compliments freely & generously. Compliments are a mood enhancer not only for the recipient, but also for me. And a small tip for the recipient of a compliment, never, NEVER turn it down, just say "Thank You.”

8. I have learned not to bother about a crease or a spot on my shirt. Personality speaks louder than appearances.

9. I walk away from people who don't value me. They might not know my worth, but I do.

10. I remain cool when someone plays dirty to outrun me in the rat race. I am not a rat & neither am I in any race.

11. I am learning not to be embarrassed by my emotions. It’s my emotions that make me human.

12. I have learned that it's better to drop the ego than to break a relationship. My ego will keep me aloof, whereas with relationships, I will never be alone.

13. I have learned to live each day as if it's the last. After all, it might be the last.

14. I am doing what makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness, and I owe it to myself. Happiness is a choice.

I decided to share this for all my friends. Why do we have to wait to be 60 or 70 or 80, why can't we practice this at any stage and age?
