Today is second only to my wedding day, being able to have my horses on our own farm is an absolute dream come true. Not giving up on the life I’ve always dreamed about, and watching it become a reality is the best feeling in the world♥️

I have said over and over, the place I was boarding my horses for the last 7 years was the best possible place they could be other than my own home. I was spoiled rotten to have such a beautiful place to keep them, and I’m beyond grateful for my favorite retired veterinarian and his wife for all they have done for us.

Our family and friends have been so helpful, supportive, and encouraging as Kalob and I take on this new adventure of owning our own farm. To start this new chapter in our lives with everyone in our corner means more to us than we can put into words. They say life takes a village, and we certainly have the best village backing us up 🫶🏻

An extra huge thank you to my Mom and Dad for everything you have done these last few months. We sincerely couldn’t have done it all without you guys. You both have done more than we would have ever asked of you. Thank you for all of your help, support, and encouragement. We love you guys tons 🫶🏻

There aren’t even words to spell out how grateful I am for my Husband and our marriage. He was carried more than his share this winter with me having surgery a little over a month ago. With all the chaos of getting a new puppy, buying a new house, moving, and my surgery Kalob has absolutely been my rock. My biggest blessing of all is sharing life with my best friend ♥️

This chapter is going to be the best one yet and I’m soaking up every second 🤩

Well now that we officially have our keys I can announce WHERE we are moving! 😁

There have been some many big blessings that have happened this year already. Yesterday we got to close and get the keys to our new home near Howell, MI. We have big dreams and goals for this place and I can’t wait to share our journey!

At this time the property isn’t set up for horses so that will be the first thing we work on once we get all moved in. Our plan is to take in training horses this spring and eventually boarders as well.

We’re excited to share that we’ll be moving to a new location soon!

During this time, we will pause taking in training horses and will resume accepting them in May. This will help us make the transition smooth and ensure everything is set up for success. I also have had some health issues recently so I will be taking the month of February off from all services while I get myself feeling better, and we get settled at our new place.

Kalob and I truly appreciate your understanding and support. Stay tuned for when we will be offering lessons and massage services again in March! We look forward to welcoming training horses back this spring 😊

I’ve had quite a few clients reach out regarding the EHV-1 outbreak and what we’re doing to stay safe.

First and foremost, the safety of YOUR HORSE is always my number one priority as a professional in this industry. I am doing my best to accommodate everyone as well as keep your horses and my own horses happy and healthy.
(Selfishly my bank account can’t handle anymore vet bills this year 😅)

1. If your horse has traveled out of state within the last 30 days we will have to wait to schedule appointments until 30 days after you have arrived home. I am doing this as an extra precaution to limit exposure as I travel between facilities.

2. Disinfecting between appointments. This is crucial to making sure there is not a spread of anything from one barn to the next.

3. Limiting appointments to 1 barn per day. I am going to be doing my best to accommodate everyone’s schedules and do what I can to get everyone taken care of and doing my part to keep your horses safe.

There is lots of information circulating regarding prevention and things to do to help your horses. If you are unsure I highly encourage contacting your veterinarian to keep yourselves informed.

As always, if you have additional questions I will do the best to answer you and help you as much as I can.

What do I feed my horses?

✨FORAGE ONLY DIET✨

They get ZERO sweet feed or grain. Why? Well to put it simply, I was having too many issues with my horses. They had crappy demeanors about riding or being worked in general. My gelding had become cinchy and harder to keep weight on. My mare looked like she swallowed a round bale whole even when being worked and wasn’t getting enough grain to get the minerals a horse needs. October 2024 I took a leap and completely changed their feed program. I did my research by talking with veterinarians, reading articles, and getting insight from other equine professionals.

There’s three key components to a forage diet

1. Access to quality forage 24/7 (hay/grass)
2. Minerals (I cannot recommend K.I.S. Trace Minerals by Thorne Bottom Farms enough)
3. Clean and Fresh Water 24/7

With switching my horses I have noticed more hoof, mane & tail growth, better demeanors, and most importantly less inflammation issues. When doing massage work their muscles feel much healthier. They are happier to be worked and I have very limited muscle soreness after intense rides.

This is truly something I feel I have kept to myself for too long. Seeing the results from my horses has been so rewarding and I had to share!

Being patient is not an easy thing to do. Horses are really good at not giving us a choice and teaching us to be patient when we are lacking it. They humble us every time we start to think we know what we are doing 🤣

In the same way they also bring us an immense amount of joy when all of the time, hard work, small wins that happened while we were being patient finally pays off. Being patient might not be easy, but it is worth every second ✨
