This Saturday December 20th at the Howells Fire House.
Doors open at 12:30 and Santa will be there from 1pm until 2pm.

Last night for drill members trained on downed firefighter packaging and removal techniques utilizing a high point to remove a victim from the second floor of a building.

This morning around 10:45am Squad 111 with 4 members and car 3 responded to central fire house in Middletown while they operated at a structure fire. Howells station remained staffed with 8 additional members while the crew was in Middletown.

Last night Howells responded to a 1 car MVA involving a utility pole. Units arrived and located 1 car overturned after striking the pole. The driver was self extricated and uninjured. Squad 111, tanker 112, brush 114 and fire police 115 responded.

Yesterday evening Howells was dispatched to a 2 car mva. Squad 111 and ladder 113 arrived and assisted ems with patient care and securing vehicles. Fire police 115 closed the road down while units operated on scene.

Congratulations to Fire Chief Brandyn Howell!
After 15 weeks of rigorous training, Brandyn has officially completed the New York State Fire Academy and is now a Professional Firefighter with the Monticello Fire District.

Today at 9:30am Howells was requested to the city of Middletown for standby with squad 111 while they operated at a structure fire. Howells squad was soon requested to the scene to assist Middletown units. Members operated for approximately an hour before heading back to Howells.

BURN BAN IN EFFECT
Governor Hochul has implemented a statewide burn ban effective immediately starting, October 2nd due to increased fire risk and continued dry conditions. The burn ban will be in effect for 14 days, from October 2nd to October 15th, and will be reevaluated prior to expiration.

Tuesday afternoon Howells members assisted the Pocatello/ Mount Hope Fire Co.with a minor mva.
