Call to Action!
EVERYONE,
It is urgent that every one of you AND your employees contact your Senators immediately. Tell them the house passed 24% tax increase will destroy businesses, jobs and backfire on them by leading to less tax revenue:
-Tell them their estimates of raising 470 million annually with the cannabis tax are incorrect. They are using fraudulent projections to trick the public into thinking they have a “roads deal”
-Michigan will lose at least 30% of its sales along the borders because we will have higher taxes than our bordering states
-Business will be shuttered. There are no margins to absorb 24% and many businesses will close
-Employees will have to be laid off as businesses cut costs to try to stay afloat
-The state will lose revenue as customers return to the illicit market
-Michigan will have the second highest cannabis tax in the country putting us at a national disadvantage for sales

Call your Legislators and tell them to vote NO on any more cannabis taxes and respect the Will of the People! The Governor and some politicians are trying to raise the price of your cannabis and take Michigan from one of the lowest tax jurisdictions to one of if not the highest taxed jurisdictions! That is not what we voted for in 2018!!!
