Breastfeeding content exists because breastfeeding is deeply misunderstood, minimized, and under-supported — especially in a society with aggressive formula marketing, lack of maternity leave, and minimal lactation resources.
So when a breastfeeding post shows up and someone responds with “fed is best,” it often feels like an attempt to shut down breastfeeding advocacy altogether.
Supporting breastfeeding is not anti-formula.
Sharing research isn’t judgment.
Educating parents doesn’t harm anyone.
Breastfeeding needs voices.
It needs advocates.
It needs moms who are exhausted, pumping at 2AM, trying again after a hard day, or fighting for donor milk in the NICU — to feel uplifted, not invalidated.
There is room for every parent, every story, and every feeding journey… but breastfeeding deserves its space, too.
