This Thanksgiving, I got a letter from Eric—a former student from my trauma-informed classes inside Greene County Correctional Facility. It was his first Thanksgiving out in more than 20 years. He cooked his own meal, in his own space, on his own terms.

Eric shared how the practices he learned with MovingPotential—breathwork, movement, mindfulness—are helping him navigate the challenges of reentry, school, and everyday life.
Stories like his remind me why this work matters.

All proceeds support MovingPotential; we provide yoga, writing, and wellness programs to individuals impacted by incarceration and addiction.
