The internet will tell you to just “do more Kegels.” 😑 One of our biggest pet peeves - and can often make the problem worse! 🤦‍♀️ Do not do this.

Overhead lifting shouldn’t feel tight, pinchy, or scary 💪

If your shoulders or upper back don’t move well, your body will find a workaround—and that’s often where pain & injury sneak in.

That occasional tension or tweak can quickly turn into an injury if the root cause isn’t addressed 💥

✨ Addressing Rib Flare ✨

Struggling with rib flare or a wider rib cage? This is a common experience after pregnancy, abdominal surgery, or with chronic back pain.

Improving rib positioning isn’t about one exercise—it requires the right rib and mid-back mobility, along with coordinated abdominal strength and control. Try these 2 exercises so you can support your body more effectively.

1) Rib mobilization in side-lying with small ball - lay on your side with a small ball pressing into your lower ribs and arm stretched above your head. Place your top hand on your ribs. Inhale deeply, expanding your ribs like an umbrella is opening, breathing into the ball. Then exhale, pressing your hand into your ribs, engaging your abs to draw your ribs down. As you exhale, lift your top ankle, keeping your knees together.

2) Bear plank with small ball: In hands and knees, use a small ball under one hand. To start, gently pre-brace your deep core then lift your knees into a hover position as you exhale. Your abdominal wall should be hugging in, not pressing out.
