We're just about 2 weeks away from the last Inner Awareness Meditation of the year. Take some time to ground and center before the Holiday Season arrives - it's going to be here before we know it!

Common topic of inquiry: fibromyalgia. There are many people with fibromyalgia that find some relief with MFR sessions. Most also incorporate dietary changes, gentle exercises and often counseling.

Consistency, even when it's hard is really important to make progress.

I strongly recommend a series of appointments-one is simply not going to be enough to get decent results for pain that's lasted 20 years.

One hour is the preferred appointment length. The first session allow for an extra half hour for intake, assessment and suggestions for follow up care you can do at home.

Not a massage: Imagine carrying around a backpack you can never take off—one that gradually tightens, stiffens, and weighs you down. That’s what untreated fascial restrictions can feel like: limiting movement, causing pain, and making even simple activities uncomfortable.

Many people turn to massage for relief, but there is another approach you can take. This approach goes deeper, focusing on the root cause rather than just the symptoms. Myofascial release (MFR) is designed to free your body from tension patterns that traditional massage might not reach.

Looking forward to being at Northwoods Technical College for the annual Caregiver's Conference giving both attendees and vendors (during the breakout sessions while the attendee are busy) mini-MFR sessions on Friday this week.

A recent text from a client: "Chris, this is Beth B... Don’t know what you did with my shoulders but it helped so much / good pain reduction!!! Hope it stays! Thank you!"
I appreciate testimonials from clients. Wondering if MFR could help you? Set up a consultation. 🙂

Shifting into autumn, one day at a time. As the season changes, a reminder that healing with myofascial release also involves a shift. Sometimes things change quickly. Often the changes are subtle and take time. "Healing is a journey, not an event." John F Barnes

JF Barnes Myofascial Release - Serving Humans & Horses

Massage & energy work "found" me. In 2010 I signed up for massage school at St. Croix Center For The Healing Arts. By 2014, I had saved enough to try my first class of John Barnes Myofascial Release. I have since taken many more classes, participate in study groups and in short, I found my preferred form of bodywork. I am considered an “Advanced” level JFB MFR therapist. A full listing of the training I’ve taken is listed on my website here: http://chrisa.massagetherapy.com/about-the-practitioner

My personal story is given briefly on my website, but suffice it to say that I've been through some serious injuries and MFR (that's short for Myofascial Release) has been wonderful for my own healing process on all levels: Physical, Mental & Emotional.

MFR is a type of therapeutic bodywork working with the fascial system that is both gentle & highly effective. Done with the client clothed. May be helpful with resolving back, shoulder, neck, head, foot, wrist & systemic pain issues.

If you have questions or are considering working with me, I encourage scheduling a half hour free consultation. RATES PEOPLE:
