After 15 years doing bodywork and 10 exclusively in Barnes' Myofascial Release Approach (R) helping people with chronic conditions along their journeys to better quality of life I've learned a few things... Yes, there can be "bumps in the road" where things don't seem to be going smoothly. The best way to get past that part is to keep going. Healing can be a messy process. Stick with it. 🙂 Website: www.ChrisAckermann.com

How's everyone doing today with the time change? Here's a simple technique to get your energy moving. It can also help loosen up a stiff body, enhance movement of lymph and generally give you a boost. It's called Rebounding.

Slip and fall on the ice and snow recently? Even if you caught yourself that gives your body a jolt! If you suspect a break or bad tear, see a Dr. If you're sore, stiff and feeling off a few sessions of MFR might be exactly what you need to have more ease of movement. There are still openings Thursday and Friday this week. www.ChrisAckermann.com

Plantar Fasciitis? Lately, quite a few people I've seen are having this flair up. Literally a "pain in the foot". See the image to see how using a soft ball may help. Remember to hang out in position for at least 5 minutes. Come see me if this doesn't quite help enough - there may be other things happening to irritate your foot. www.chrisackermann.com

Are your emotions all over the place? Do you feel stressed or "out of sorts"?
Touch helps your nerves (and therefore your body/mind) feel safe. Myofascial work, massage and other forms of safe touch help.
Not able to go somewhere for bodywork or just uncomfortable with the idea?
Give yourself a hug! Literally! Bonus points if you hug your pet 🙂 Image from Pixabay.
Take care everyone. Want to come in? Schedule an appointment here: www.chrisackermann.com

To Tip or Not To Tip? As we can see from a quick stop for groceries, the price for most everything has increased.

Those of you who come in regularly also know that except over Giving Back to the Community in November and December I have had the tipping option disabled on the payment screen.

For 2026, I have decided that instead of raising rates to leave the tipping option available.

If, and only if, you are able to tip you now can.

If the regular rate is what works for you, please don't worry about tipping.

I'm really glad you're here!

No business post today. Instead, a reminder that we are ALL HUMAN. We need to treat each other with respect. We can have different political beliefs. Does that mean that we automatically need to hate each other? WHY? Asking people to see each other as people, not agendas. Please think about that first before you say or do something that hurts someone else. That is all. Thanks for reading.

JF Barnes Myofascial Release - Serving Humans & Horses

Massage & energy work "found" me. In 2010 I signed up for massage school at St. Croix Center For The Healing Arts. By 2014, I had saved enough to try my first class of John Barnes Myofascial Release. I have since taken many more classes, participate in study groups and in short, I found my preferred form of bodywork. I am considered an “Advanced” level JFB MFR therapist. A full listing of the training I’ve taken is listed on my website here: http://chrisa.massagetherapy.com/about-the-practitioner

My personal story is given briefly on my website, but suffice it to say that I've been through some serious injuries and MFR (that's short for Myofascial Release) has been wonderful for my own healing process on all levels: Physical, Mental & Emotional.

MFR is a type of therapeutic bodywork working with the fascial system that is both gentle & highly effective. Done with the client clothed. May be helpful with resolving back, shoulder, neck, head, foot, wrist & systemic pain issues.

If you have questions or are considering working with me, I encourage scheduling a half hour free consultation. RATES PEOPLE:
