Coconut Milk Hot Cocoa

This coconut milk hot cocoa is a simple, naturally sweetened alternative to traditional hot chocolate that is rich, comforting, and free from refined sugars and additives.

INGREDIENTS

1/3 cup full fat coconut milk, unsweetened

2/3 cup boiling water

1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup, to taste

Optional

Whipped cream made from organic heavy cream

Cocoa nibs

Peppermint oil, 1 to 2 drops

INSTRUCTIONS

Bring water to a boil.

Add coconut milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and maple syrup to a mug.

Pour boiling water into the mug and stir well until fully combined and smooth.

Let cool slightly before serving.

Top with optional whipped cream, cocoa nibs, or peppermint oil if desired
