Ovulation is when your o***y releases an egg. It usually happens about 12–16 days before your next period starts (not always on day 14!) 🥚

If ovulation has already happened, you might notice:
✨A small rise in your basal body temperature (this happens after ovulation)

✨Cervical fluid that was clear and slippery (like egg whites) before it changed or dried up

✨Mild cramping on one side of your lower abdomen

✨Breast tenderness

✨A shift in mood or energy

Ovulation predictor tests can tell you when your body is about to ovulate (they detect the LH surge), but basal body temperature confirms it happened.

Remember: you’re most fertile in the 3–5 days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. The egg only lives about 12–24 hours.
Every body is different. Learning your cycle helps you better understand your fertility, hormones, and overall health.
