Today's singalong was a "hoot and a holler". We had a few strong voices who could belt out the songs. Shirley (you remember sweet Shirley who turned 100 yesterday) was caught singing harmony in Mocking Bird Hill, Jerry T. sang "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" to his dear wife Ellie and Carol ended the sing along with an additional verse to "Show Me the Way to Go Home".

April 1st has been a very special day at Willow Glen. Our very own Shirley P. turned 100 years old today! 💛💛💛💛

We had a Bingo Birthday Bash in her honor. The Bingo chips had her picture on each of them. The Bingo prizes were Twinkies, Fritos, Lays potato chips, and Ritz crackers - all goodies that debuted during the 1930s (Shirley was a little kiddo then).

When players got a Bingo they called out “Shirley!” instead of “Bingo” 🤣🥳🥰. Half way through our Bingo game time we stopped to enjoy delicious birthday cake from Jerry's Foods - Hudson and Shirley enjoyed her favorite cake which is Angel food with strawberries and homemade whipping cream.

Thank you to Lexi and Brooklyn (2 amazing volunteers) who went above and beyond for Shirley’s party. They not only helped put the Bingo chips together, they also worked on a dance that they choreographed and performed in Shirley’s honor.

Thank you to Hudson Flower Shop for creating and providing Shirley with her beautiful corsage! 💐 She loved it very much! Thank you also to Ione and Vicki for helping the party to run smoothly. You are both fantastic volunteers!

Special thank you to the Girl Scout Troop 52381 for donating this raised garden in 2009 to Pine Ridge Gardens for our east garden. Our residents have enjoyed using this raised garden for the past 17 years.

This past week a few of our residents volunteered to prepare our raised garden for spring. It was so fun for all of us to get our hands in the dirt.

Thank you to everyone who helped our Generosity in Action group this month! The group set a goal of delivering donated items to local animal shelters, and thanks to your generosity, that goal was not only met but exceeded.

MAF, Joan, Kathryn, and Carol all hopped on the bus and rode into downtown Hudson to Angel's Pet World, where they delivered four large boxes filled with a plethora of donated items—a word we all agreed perfectly described the incredible volume received.
The donations included food, blankets, towels, bedding, toys, leashes, collars, money and medical supplies. Jenna helped us unload everything. She was wonderful!

We were all surprised when the bus happened to take us to Dairy Queen for a treat. Well deserved ladies!

We’ve been busy having a blast with interactive games that keep our residents moving, thinking, and laughing! Over the past few weeks, we’ve played Balloon Tic‑Tac‑Toe, Wii Bowling, and Granny Pants—with a surprise visit from Bruce the Boxer Dog that made everyone’s day.

We also held our always‑popular Penny Auction, complete with a little Happy Hour fun, and a few hilarious rounds of Dirty Laundry that had the whole room smiling.

We love seeing everyone stay active, engaged, and enjoying time together. Here’s to many more game days ahead!

Thank you to Saint Patrick Catholic School in Hudson, WI for sponsoring our March birthday party today. It was so much fun!!! Everyone enjoyed hearing the students sing. 🎶 They were fantastic!
