A connection to local community programs and the arts. Creativity in Motion hopes to help foster creativity and movement in others, while also helping them to connect to other methods of artistry with local community talent. We maintain the core values that originated with Sternfeld Dance Studio when it first began, while creating a path to meet the current needs of the community. The founder continues to provide continuing education and training to current teachers and this summer, the studio became Acrobatic Arts certified - the only certified studio in Columbia County. We are also going through the certification process to provide dance/movement therapy, as well as other creative art therapies.

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT! ✨ Catskill Ballet Theatre’s Alice in Wonderland, April 24–26 at UPAC in !

Catskill Ballet Theatre returns to the Ulster Performing Arts Center this April with its beloved full-length ballet Alice in Wonderland, bringing Lewis Carroll’s fantastical world to life through classical dance.

Guest artist Lilit Hogtanian stars as Alice in her inaugural season with CBT, having performed with the Slovak National Theatre, Ballet Memphis, and Dance Theatre of Harlem. Returning favorite Ethan Schweitzer-Gaslin reprises his role as the White Rabbit.

Meet new friends in Wonderland this season — the Walrus, the Carpenter, and the Oysters — alongside beloved characters like the Cheshire Cat, the Queen of Hearts, and the Mad Hatter. A magical journey filled with wonder, curiosity, and imagination awaits audiences of all ages.

Tiny Tots Movement is a playful dance and movement class for babies and toddlers (6 months–2 years) and their caregivers. Through music, rhythm, sensory exploration, and bonding activities, little ones build coordination, confidence, and connection in a warm, supportive space.
Designed to support developmental milestones while celebrating joyful movement together.
