Today was a special one at the Home! We had some very adorable visitors stop by, therapy pigs Marilyn Swineroe and Albert Einswine, and they absolutely stole the show!

These charming guests did more than just bring smiles. In care home settings, therapy pigs can provide meaningful emotional and cognitive benefits, especially for residents living with dementia or Alzheimer’s. Their gentle, social nature helps reduce anxiety, spark memories, and encourage connection.

It’s amazing how animals like Marilyn and Albert can brighten a day, start conversations, and bring comfort in such a unique way. We’re so grateful for their visit and the joy they shared with our residents.

Throwback to an unforgettable day on the lake with our FFH family 🚤

Last September’s Lake George Boat Cruise was filled with great company, fresh air, and lasting memories. We’re already looking ahead and can’t wait to do it all again this September.

Last night at the FASNY Firefighters Home, we welcomed back The Dreamers for a lively musical performance for our members.

The duo filled a packed house with guitar, flute, maracas, and beautiful vocals, creating an evening full of energy and connection.

We’re grateful for their continued visits and the joy they bring to our community.

Our chapel was filled with joy and community this Easter Sunday, as residents, staff, members, and guests came together to celebrate.

Earlier, on Good Friday, we observed the Passion of Our Lord through a Liturgy of the Word and an Adoration of the Holy Cross.

This Saturday’s Easter Party brought residents, staff, and their families together for a day full of creativity and connection. From colorful crafts to a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Huge thanks to Brown's Brewing Company and everyone who attended the Firehouse Chili Cook-Off this past weekend and helped raise funds for the Firefighters Home and the WMCHealth Burn Center. Your support means everything, and yes, Peter’s winning chili was there, turning up the heat! 🔥❤️

Chaplain’s Day 2026 continues to bring chaplains together for learning, conversation, and renewal at the Home.

Yesterday’s sessions included a discussion on the Chaplain’s Handbook, providing practical insight for multifaith service, followed by a Chaplain’s Roundtable that encouraged open and honest dialogue.

The “Filling Your Own Cup” workshop served as a powerful reminder that caring for others starts with caring for yourself.

Attendees also had the opportunity to tour the Firefighter’s Home, connecting with the legacy and purpose behind the service.
